Gone are most of the massive woodern barns with sides that open to allow the dordogne air to naturally dry the tobacco leaves, this has now been replaced by poly-tunnels with large 1 metre diametre fans that circulate the air over the leaves. these are the plants that were being harvested in my last post so they've dried pretty quickly, they'll soon be on the way to the Sarlat factory for processing no doubt!
