The dust is now settling!

Slowly but surely, things are returning back to normal after last weekends celebrations, we still have many wedding guests staying here in the gites and at the campsite up the road, all of which have had a couple of days of lovely weather so sun screen lotion has had to be used by most but some have turned a shade of lobster colour!
The marquees have all gone but the bunting and bamboo arch still remain, we can't bring ourselves to take it all down yet!
Pictures to follow of the big day when we get them from our photographer of the day plus all the hundreds taken by the guests.

The morning after the day before!

Our daughters big day here at Les Granges was a great success, 50 plus guests attended the celebration of the marriage to David Salt and we've woken after a rather late night to a glorious day, more to follow....

The day before the big day!

No wonder I haven't posted anything for a while, it's been all go for the last 2 weeks but at last it's time to get things put together for Charlotte and Dave's big wedding day tomorrow.
Yesterday morning saw the arrival of the marquees which were quickly put up around the house pool.
Today it's dress the tents and prepare everything else
The weather forecast for tomorrow is not looking brilliant but we're hoping the forecast web sites will be wrong, taken that we've woken to a beautiful sunny morning rather thatn as it should be....rain!

No time to lose, must be off, work to do.

One small step for us two....

...one giant step forward for the patio! After 24 hours following the concreting (below) came the ceremonial 'stepping on to' the new patio area. seems to have taken an age to get to this stage but we're nearly there and we're just waiting for the top layer of stone to complete the work. Another great result was that we were able to preserve the original top step by turning it over, which took a lot of moving, then smoothing the surface to make a perfect face from the original stone.
